The Project Officer will help to support and coordinate the delivery of specialised and/or work packages involving IM/ICT, ensuring solutions delivered are responsive to customer needs and sustainable in an enterprise environment.

What you'll do

As the Project Officer, you will support the delivery of program and project activities by monitoring and reporting on work package progress against agreed criteria, providing planning and scheduling assistance, and maintaining accurate program and project files and registers in line with Queensland Health policies. You will assist with the preparation of project and organisational reports, support the identification and management of risks and issues by ensuring they are documented and escalated appropriately, and monitor resources and expenditure against agreed budgets and forecasts. In addition, you will contribute to onboarding and offboarding processes, provide secretariat support, and assist with procurement activities to ensure the smooth and effective delivery of program objectives.

About you

We are searching for someone who has:

• Analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills and an ability to coordinate multiple tasks within agreed priorities, timeframes and accountabilities. Experience in an IM/ICT project environment, including scheduling, risk management, reporting and budgeting, and an ability to coordinate the delivery of work packages.
• Knowledge of appropriate project management methodologies and ability to provide advice on the use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies and tools, with Experience in, or the ability to assist with the compilation of program/project information, maintenance of program/project files and the preparation and presentation of management reports.
• Knowledge of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies and tools (preferably PRINCE2).
