The Clinician will provide: 

  • Evidence-based psychological and psychosocial therapeutic interventions that promote recovery and build capacity for the clients. Including via CBT, Solution Focused, Strengths-based, Trauma informed practices.

  • Therapeutic interventions under the NDIS framework working with Participants to build capacity in line with their goals and individual requirements.

  • Provision of documentation of mental health assessments, including completion of assessments, case plans, intervention plans and individual treatment planning.

  • Provision of risk assessments and development and implementation of appropriate response and safety plans. 

  • Provide written documentation to referring stakeholders as required to be compliant with Medicare comply with policies and procedures

  • Create and maintain professional records pertaining to services, including (but not limited to) case notes, reports and letters that are consistent with the Code of Ethics and Psychologists’ or Social Worker's professional and legal obligations. 

  • Liaise, consult, and make appropriate referrals to external services including GPs, and other health professionals. 

  • Comply with data collection as required under Medicare and PHN Policies and Procedures. 

  • Participation in regular internal and external supervision, professional development, and commitment to the continued development of clinical skills and evidence based best practice.

Selection Criteria:

  • Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Psychologist; OR

  • Registration with AASW as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker

  • Knowledge, experience, understanding and passion for the health and wellbeing of clients of all ages, children teens and adults.

  • Sound knowledge of and demonstrated experience in clinical practice and therapeutic interventions within the mental health field.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide high quality assessment and evidence-based psychological interventions for clients of all ages.

  • Sound knowledge and understanding of mental health disorders.

  • A high level of interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), problem solving and negotiation skills and demonstrated ability to consult, liaise and negotiate with team members, other professionals, and outside agencies. 

  • Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and function autonomously while being able to effectively work in a team.

  • Advanced computer literacy – Microsoft Office Suite, Halaxy, other Client Management Systems (CMS) and understanding IT networking and systems.

  • Awareness of relevant legislation/policies and issues informing health and other services for clients of all ages.

  • Demonstrated commitment to clinical supervision, education, training, and ongoing professionals’ development.

Special Requirements:

  • Unrestricted right to live and work in Australia. 

  • A current National Police Check will be required. 

  • A current valid Working with Children Check is required.

  • A current NDIS Yellow Card is required.

  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate is required.
