About the Role

As part of the Corporate Affairs and Communications team, the Public Relations Specialist is responsible for developing and delivering purposeful, audience‑led content across media, digital, social and internal communication channels. The role supports public relations activity, media engagement and integrated communications initiatives across Australia and New Zealand.

Working closely with the Trans‑Tasman Communications and Corporate Affairs team, this role identifies opportunities to amplify Sanitarium’s story through compelling storytelling, effective channel execution and trusted stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Drive proactive public relations activity for Sanitarium, including managing media enquiries, interviews, monitoring, reporting and agency coordination
• Provide issues management and brand reputation support, tracking and reporting on sentiment and trends externally.
• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders across Australia and New Zealand to amplify purpose‑led storytelling across our community partners
• Create compelling written and visual content across internal and external channels
• Develop and execute integrated PR and content plans aligned to organisational and brand priorities
• Support social media and digital content development, including performance tracking and reporting

About you:

• 4–6 years’ experience in communications, PR or marketing role
• Strong writing and storytelling capability across multiple formats and audiences
• Experience managing internal and external communications, media and digital channels
• Highly organised, creative and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, in‑house communications environment
