About the Role:
We are seeking a Quality and Compliance Officer to join our team at Thompson Health Care!
You will be based at our Head Office, located at Suite 20, Level 4, 924 Pacific Highway, Gordon NSW 2072 however will be required to travel to our various homes.
This role is responsible for assisting Quality and Compliance team to ensure that all Thompson Health Care facilities adhere to the highest standards of quality and compliance. This role involves implementing, and monitoring quality assurance processes, conducting regular audits, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Essential Requirements:
Extensive experience in residential aged care
Current AHPRA Registration (Essential)
Valid Police Check (Essential)
Current Driver’s License Class C (Essential)
Strong knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards and regulatory requirements
Proven experience conducting audits and implementing quality improvements
Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
High attention to detail and strong problem-solving capability
Proficiency in quality management systems and compliance software
Ability and willingness to travel to multiple sites
Key Responsibilities
Conduct desktop and on-site audits to assess compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards and implement improvement actions
Monitor and support quality assurance processes to ensure ongoing compliance with ACQSC standards
Identify gaps in practice and provide guidance to support corrective actions across facilities
Support complaint resolution processes, including documentation and investigation of incidents
Prepare reports on audits, quality indicators, and compliance performance
Maintain accurate documentation of audits, investigations, and compliance activities
Monitor regulatory updates and ensure practices align with current legislation and standards
Attend site leadership and quality meetings, actively contributing ideas and insights.
Experience in Lee Care (electronic clinical management), electronic medication management systems, and Moving on Audits (MOA) is highly beneficial.
