About the Role
Hastings Deering is seeking an experienced Quarries & Aggregate Account Manager to drive strategic account growth and deliver strong customer outcomes across our Construction Industries portfolio. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Brisbane.

This role is responsible for managing key customer relationships, identifying growth opportunities and delivering profitable lifecycle solutions across equipment, parts, and services.

Reporting to the relevant Business Manager - Major Accounts, this role will involve the following key duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute key account plans for assigned customers aligned with CI strategy
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders and key influencers within customer organisations
  • Position Hastings Deering as the preferred lifecycle solutions provider across equipment, parts, labour, and technology
  • Manage assigned accounts end-to-end, acting as the primary point of contact and coordinator for both customers and internal teams
  • Identify, qualify, and close new business and lifecycle opportunities in line with business objectives
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver competitive tenders, proposals, and deal strategies
  • Provide accurate forecasting and reporting across revenue, GP, pipeline, and account performance
  • Maintain a strong opportunity pipeline and CRM discipline, ensuring all activities, interactions, and opportunities are captured
  • Drive customer satisfaction and retention, proactively managing issues and identifying upsell/cross-sell opportunities
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure seamless delivery of solutions and alignment to customer expectations

About You
A successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Tertiary qualification in Business or equivalent experience demonstrating strong business acumen
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in a sales role within a diversified organisation
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in key account management, driving sales growth and customer outcomes
  • Proven ability to build and maintain long-term, mutually beneficial customer relationships
  • Experience in heavy earthmoving, mining, or mining services industries, with exposure to sales strategy development and execution
  • Strong negotiation, deal qualification, and closing capability, with a high level of commercial awareness
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute account plans, sales strategies, and growth initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple business functions
  • Experience using CRM systems to manage pipelines, opportunities, and customer engagement
