Armidale Regional Council is seeking a motivated and community focused Ranger – General Officer to join our Regulatory Services team. This is a frontline role where you’ll play a vital part in keeping our public spaces safe, well managed and enjoyable for everyone.

The role

Reporting to the Coordinator Regulation, you’ll be responsible for regulatory enforcement and education across a broad range of functions, including:

• Companion animal and livestock control, including investigations, impounding and care
• Parking enforcement and patrols in public places and school zones
• Littering, illegal dumping and abandoned articles investigations
• Fire safety and overgrown vegetation inspections
• Issuing notices, orders and infringements, and preparing documentation for court where required
• Providing professional, respectful customer service and conflict resolution in the field

This position may involve shift, weekend and on call work, subject to training and operational needs.
