Reports to: IT Manager and Business Manager, with functional reporting to CEWA Digital Technology Team.

Position Purpose
The IT Support Officer provides on-site IT support to the College community, ensuring reliable, secure, and effective use of digital technologies to support teaching, learning, administration, and student wellbeing. The role works in partnership with school leadership and the CEWA Digital Technology Team to deliver consistent, best-practice ICT services aligned to CEWA’s standards, policies, and Strategic priorities.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
· Provide ICT support to staff and students including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
· Log and manage incidents and service requests, ensuring appropriate assignment and efficient resolution.
· Maintain asset records and documentation.
· Build strong relationships with school leadership and staff.
· Provide practical advice on effective technology use.
· Support major school ICT activities and events.
· Communicate technical matters clearly and respectfully.
· Installation, configuration and deployment of Windows and Apple systems.
· Other duties as required by the Systems Manager, Business Manager or Principal.
SHARED ACCOUNTABILITIES:
· Support staff onboarding and ICT capability development.
· Support a secure, child-safe digital environment.
· Assist with access management and device compliance.
· Follow CEWA cybersecurity and governance standards.
· Support CEWA Digital Technology team lead projects.
· Assist with system rollouts and adoption.
· Identify and recommend service improvements.
· Support effective coordination with contractors and external providers, acting as a key point of contact as required.

· Be familiar with the CEWA Child Safe Framework and its underpinning concepts.
· Take a shared responsibility to ensure ongoing support for a child-safe culture within the Catholic Education system.

IT Support Officer
SELECTION CRITERIAA. Essential
· Full employment rights to work in Australia.
· Prepared to support the Catholic ethos in the performance of their duties.
· Excellent troubleshooting skills
· Capable and confident communication, both written and verbal
· Well-developed interpersonal skills, suited to interacting with staff and students in a secondary school environment.
B. Highly Desirable
· A TAFE or tertiary qualification in Information Technology.
· At least two years’ Service Desk experience.
· Strong skills and knowledge of classroom AV equipment such as data projectors, televisions and soundbars.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT SPECIFIC TO THE POSITION
· A current National Police History Check as issued by the Department of Education Western Australia or be willing and able to attain one.
· A current Working With Children Check as issued by the Department of Communities Western Australia or be willing and able to attain one.

Remuneration
· Classification – Administrative and Technical Officers in accordance with the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Perth Non-Teaching staff Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA).
