We specialise in therapy away from the table and outside the box, we love to play and to help our children grow. We know kids learn best when they are having fun and motivated by their world.


About the role

Our reception and administration team are responsible for the effective management of support systems that enable our therapy team to offer the best interventions for the children they work with.

As a first point of contact for our participants we are looking for a professional person who is reliable, efficient, highly organised, and capable of prioritising tasks to meet competing deadlines. You will be a confident communicator, both on the phone and in person. You will be willing to step out from behind your desk to play with and support participants and their families. You will foster supportive relationships with families who visit Red Frog for Families and within the broader community.

You will collaborate with other members of the reception and administration team, our team of therapists, our community access/disability support worker team, volunteers, and students to provide support to our participants. You will be a team player who enjoys bringing out the best in others.

You will provide support to our clinical and community access teams. This includes some support to maintain tidy spaces at the back of house, scheduling appointments and providing a crucial communication link between our team and our participants and their families.

You will have a critical role in the opening and closing of our premises.

You will have a strong work ethic, good time-management skills, and practice personal wellbeing. You will be able to gather information from multiple sources and think critically to independently complete tasks.


Essential Requirements

  • Current Working with Children Check

  • Current First Aid Certificate

  • Experience with disability

  • An inclusive mindset to recognise the value and potential of people with disability

  • Confident with the use of technology for business

  • Non-judgemental approach to disability


Selection criteria

  • Ability to work effectively in a busy administrative role in a complex organisation, requiring the ability to plan, organise, and prioritise within a changing environment. Demonstrated experience will be viewed positively.

  • Ability to provide effective customer service; capacity to identify and respond quickly to needs and urgent matters, applying a problem-solving approach to challenges.

  • The ability to communicate confidently, respectfully, clearly, and succinctly; to listen to others; and to prepare written material that is concise, accurate, well-structured, and easy to follow by the intended audience.

  • Ability to analyse written information, including correspondence and documents, to support appropriate and timely responses.

  • Ability to quickly and effectively build rapport with people of various backgrounds, abilities, and cultures.

  • Competency using computer software programs for tasks including word-processing, emailing, internet searching, invoicing, scheduling and data entry and the ability to readily learn new systems and programs.
