Task & responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and deliver safe, effective clinical and personal care that supports residents’ independence, wellbeing, goals, preferences, and active participation in their own care.
• Ensure all assessments, care plans, and clinical documentation are current, accurate, reflective of residents’ needs, and completed in accordance with organizational and legislative requirements.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with residents, families, carers, nursing staff, Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Resource Personnel, and visiting health professionals to optimise coordinated care.
• Promote resident choice, personal decision‑making, dignity, and respect, ensuring every interaction results in a positive and safe resident experience.
• Demonstrate sound clinical judgement, initiative, confidentiality, and discretion while adapting effectively to competing priorities, changing demands, and management directives.
• Support a culture of quality improvement, evaluation, accreditation compliance, and adherence to best‑practice care models aligned with the organisation’s vision of excellence.
• Ensure the environment and equipment are safe, well maintained, appropriately stored, and operational, reporting faults promptly and complying with OH&S policies and safe work practices.
• Facilitate timely and appropriate referrals, ensuring accurate, confidential, and effective management of clinical information and use of information technology systems.
• Maintain professional competence by completing mandatory education, participating in performance reviews and improvement plans, and engaging in ongoing training and education.
• Support and contribute to team effectiveness, organisational goals, and accreditation standards while demonstrating high‑level customer service and confidence in delivering safe care.

Qualification & experience

• AHPRA Registration 
• Registered Nurse and Enrolled Nurse 
• You have 1+ years’ experience in a similar role 
• Able to work in Australia 
• Remuneration and conditions in accordance with Victorian Public Sector Enterprise Agreements
