Task & responsibilities

The successful candidate will perform duties including but not limited to:

• Planning menus in consultation with the Head Chef and kitchen team
• Organising and coordinating special functions and events at the restaurant
• Managing purchasing, supplier relationships, and pricing of goods in line with business budgets
• Monitoring stock levels, inventory control, and maintaining financial and operational records
• Ensuring the restaurant complies with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
• Overseeing the presentation, cleanliness, and functionality of dining facilities
• Supervising restaurant service during operating hours and ensuring efficient workflow
• Recruiting, training, rostering, and supervising front-of-house staff
• Monitoring service quality and responding to customer feedback to maintain high service standards

Assisting with reservations, greeting guests, and supporting service during busy periods

Qualification & experience

• Proven experience managing restaurant or hospitality operations, including staff supervision and customer service management
• Experience in staff rostering, training, and performance supervision within a hospitality environment
• Demonstrated ability to manage stock control, purchasing, and supplier coordination
• Strong understanding of food safety, workplace health and safety, and hospitality compliance requirements
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment while maintaining high service standards
