PURPOSE

The Retail Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of Nextra Plenty Valley and ensuring efficient store performance. This role focuses on driving sales growth, managing staff, maintaining high customer service standards, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. JOB DESCRIPTION

The Retail Manager plays a key leadership role in managing all aspects of retail store operations. This position requires strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills along with the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. The Retail Manager is expected to lead the team effectively, optimise store performance, and ensure customer satisfaction while adhering to company standards and procedures.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Formulating and implementing purchasing and marketing policies and setting prices 
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve concerns with professionalism and care.
• Determining product mix, stock levels and service standards
• Selling goods and services to customers and advising them on product use
• Undertaking budgeting for the establishment
• Controlling selection, training, and supervision of staff
• Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
• Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions
• Promoting and advertising the establishment's goods and services
• Monitoring and analysing sales performance to identify opportunities for improvement and growth
• Managing customer feedback and implementing service improvements to enhance customer satisfaction
• Coordinating with suppliers and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and inventory availability
• Developing and implementing staff rosters to ensure optimal coverage and efficient Workflow

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• AQF associate degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2)
• Previous relevant experience in retail management or a similar role.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address operational
• challenges and customer inquiries.
• Ability to thrive under pressure while juggling multiple tasks and priorities.
• A passion for delivering outstanding customer service and exceeding expectations.
• A results-driven mindset with a desire to meet or exceed sales targets.

WORKING HOURS

Full-time position, 38 hours per week.
