At Shreeji Express Pty Ltd T/A Astron Tyers, the Retail Manager plays a key leadership role in overseeing and managing the overall retail operations of the business, including the fuel outlet, convenience store, and associated retail services. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the efficient day-to-day functioning of the store while maximising sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction. The role focuses on maintaining high service standards, optimising stock and pricing strategies, and ensuring the effective use of resources. Additionally, the Retail Manager is responsible for fostering a positive work environment, leading and developing staff, and ensuring that all business activities are conducted in compliance with occupational health and safety standards and relevant regulatory requirements.

The Retail Manager at Shreeji Express Pty Ltd T/A Astron Tyers oversees the daily functioning of the store to ensure efficient operations and consistent service delivery, including managing stock control, organising product displays, and implementing sales and promotional activities to maximise revenue. The role involves liaising with suppliers to maintain timely procurement and quality of goods, while keeping accurate inventory and financial records to support operational efficiency. The Retail Manager supervises staff, allocates duties, and maintains high standards of team performance and customer service, while also engaging with customers, resolving issues, and improving overall satisfaction. Additionally, the position requires monitoring expenses, supporting financial planning, and ensuring full compliance with workplace policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements, contributing to the ongoing improvement of business performance.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

•    Developing and implementing purchasing strategies and marketing plans, while setting appropriate pricing for products and services. 

•    Planning and organizing the product range, including deciding stock levels and maintaining service quality standards. 

•    Coordinating with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality of goods. 

•    Monitoring inventory, performing regular stock checks, and maintaining accurate records of stock and financial transactions. 

•    Preparing budgets, managing expenses, and ensuring cost-effective operations. 

•    Promoting and advertising products and services to attract customers and increase sales. 

•    Selling goods and services while assisting customers and providing guidance on product usage. 

•    Handling customer feedback and resolving complaints to enhance customer satisfaction. 

•    Recruiting, training, and supervising staff to ensure efficient performance and productivity. 

•     Ensuring all activities comply with occupational health, safety, and regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS 

•    AQF associate degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) in Business, Retail Management, or a related field 

•    Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in retail or customer service management 

•    Strong leadership and team management skills 

•    Good communication and customer service abilities 

•    Knowledge of inventory control, sales processes, and basic financial management

WORKING HOURS 

Full-time position, 38 hours per week.
