Liquor Barons Lesmurdie is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy liquor retail store in Lesmurdie, Western Australia. Task & responsibilities

• Oversee all daily store operations and ensure efficient business performance
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of retail staff
• Recruit, train and onboard new employees as required
• Prepare and manage weekly staff rosters and leave schedules
• Monitor staff performance and maintain a positive workplace culture
• Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve customer enquiries professionally
• Manage inventory levels, stock ordering, stock rotation and supplier relationships
• Analyze sales performance and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability
• Coordinate promotional displays, seasonal campaigns and in-store merchandising
• Ensure compliance with liquor licensing legislation, workplace health and safety requirements and company policies
• Monitor cash handling procedures, POS operations and store security
• Prepare operational reports and assist ownership with business planning and performance reviews

Qualification & experience

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma qualification in Business or a related field
• At least 1 year of relevant retail management experience
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment
• Knowledge of liquor retail operations and compliance requirements will be highly regarded

Desirable Qualifications and Skills

• Experience in liquor retail, hospitality, supermarkets, or convenience retail
• Knowledge of Western Australian liquor licensing requirements
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification and Approved Manager card, or willingness to obtain them
• Experience in sales analysis, merchandising, and promotional planning
