We are a well-established and financially secure builder/developer, and we are looking for an experienced Safety Advisor to join our construction team. In this role you will be working closely with the Project Team where you will be responsible for implementing the company safety management system, fostering a positive safety culture, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements on premium, award-winning projects on the Gold Coast. The role is for an immediate start, and you will become part of a highly experienced and well-resourced construction project team, where you will see the completion of one Project in Palm Beach and transfer over to next exciting new project also in Palm Beach.

The role will include the following responsibilities:

• Responsible for the implementation and enforcing of the Company Safety Management System as well as safety codes, legislation and regulations and best practices on all our construction projects.

• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor safety practices and ensure adherence to safety protocols and standards

• Work with the foremen and Site Manager looking ahead and planning to prepare for up and coming works from a safety perspective, address safety concerns.

• Promote and foster a positive safety culture among the project team and all workers onsite by encouraging open communication and worker engagement.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of all safety-related activities, including inductions, Subcontractor documentation, first aid register, inspection reports, incident reports, training matrix, compliance records and other safety registers/documentation

Ideally, the successful applicant will have the following attributes:

• Minimum of 4+ years safety advisor on similar and relevant projects

• Cert iv in WPHS and First Aid & CPR Certification essential

• thorough understanding of safety standards/regulations

• Strong communication skills and ability to build excellent working relationships with the team and external contractors. Excellent people management skills

• Strong work ethic, proactive and ability to take ownership.

• Return to Works Coordinator certificate desirable but not essential

• Prior use of Procore & SignOnSite desirable but not essential
