Langford Metal Industries has an automated powder coating line which requires the pre treatment of products to be sandblasted then powder coated.

About the role

This is an exciting role within the business. Reporting to the Powder Coat Supervisor, this role is responsible for Abrasive Blasting, applying coatings, hanging of products on the auto line as well as packing of finished products ready for transport.

Langford Metal is looking for a very hands on person who has a natural drive to get jobs completed.

The key functions for this role are as follows

• Carry out all Blasting and Coatings works

• Ability to perform moderate lifting as required for blasting and coating operations

• Sponge, Grit and garnet blast components

• Maintain good customer relationships

• Work with various team members to deliver best service for our clients

• Provide relevant reporting to management

Skills and experience

• Can work autonomously and think for yourself.

• Proven track record as an effective team player.

• Willingness to learn from others

• Previous abrasive blasting and coating applications experience.

• Minimum of 6 months or less abrasive blasting and coating experience required

• Takes an active approach to problem solving.

• Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritise work as required.

• Can generate their own work and see opportunities to help support and add value to the department and business
