About the Role
We are seeking a self-driven and motivated Senior Advice Associate who is nearing completion of their Professional Year (PY), or has recently completed it, to join our growing team. Based in Balgowlah, this full-time role offers a genuine pathway to becoming a fully-fledged Financial Adviser within a modern, client-centric advice business. You will have the opportunity to build your own client base, develop your own business within the firm, and create a clear pathway toward future equity partnership.
What You’ll Be Doing
Supporting the end-to-end advice process, ensuring client work progresses efficiently across advisers, paraplanning, client services and external providers.
Working as the second adviser in client meetings, assisting with preparation, follow-up actions and progressively leading meeting components as capability develops.
Assisting with strategy modelling, research, SOA and ROA preparation while building strong technical advice capability.
Developing advanced expertise in Xplan and advice on processes to support high quality client outcomes.
Building strong client relationships through proactive communication and clear explanation of advice strategies and next steps.
Managing workflow priorities, identifying roadblocks early and ensuring advice delivery remains on track.
Participating in structured mentoring, technical training and professional development designed to accelerate your transition to Financial Adviser.
Progressing toward independently managing lower complexity client relationships and building your own client portfolio over time.
What We’re Looking For
Nearing completion of your Professional Year (PY) or recently completed, with a genuine desire to transition into a Financial Adviser role.
Strong technical knowledge of advice processes, compliance requirements, and advice documentation (SOAs and ROAs).
Solid working knowledge of Xplan and confidence navigating technical advice systems and workflows.
Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the confidence to take ownership and work independently when required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and explain complex concepts clearly.
Commercially minded, coachable, and motivated to build long-term client relationships and progress toward managing your own client portfolio.
Ambitious, self-driven and genuinely committed to building a long-term career as a Financial Adviser.
