About the Position
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Associate to join a well-established Commercial Litigation Team.
You will work closely with an experienced and highly regarded Partner on a broad mix of complex disputes and advisory matters. The role offers exposure to:
· Corporate and commercial disputes, including contract and shareholder matters
· Disputes involving deceased estates
· Formal insolvency processes such as voluntary administrations and liquidations
· Advisory and restructuring engagements during periods of financial stress
Clients operate across a diverse range of industries including property and construction, retail, hospitality, manufacturing, IT, professional services and financial services.
Duties
In the role, you will:
· Draft legal advice, pleadings, affidavits and court submissions
· Engage directly with clients and counsel
· Manage matters
· Appear in courts and tribunals where appropriate
About You
This role is well suited to a lawyer who enjoys hands-on involvement in matters, values direct client engagement and is looking to play a meaningful role within a high-performing team.
You will also have:
· 5+ years’ post-admission experience in commercial litigation, disputes or insolvency
· Strong technical, drafting and research skills
· A solid understanding of New South Wales court processes and procedures
· Solid academics
