Based at Milton, the Senior Clinical Practice Supervisor will motivate and inspire high quality client practice throughout yourtown client services through practice supervision and support.
You will work collaboratively with the team to support quality services that enhance the lives of participants and support leaders by engaging in practice partnership. You will be working with Kids Helpline Counsellors, Youth Workers, Child and Family Workers, Case Managers, Trainers, Employment Consultants and other client facing team members.
Your role will include:
• Individual, team and group supervision
• Articulate and promote adherence to yourtown’s Organisational Practice Framework
• Promote and contribute to culturally sensitive, child, youth and family-centred safe practices
• Review direct practice and case management skills and competence
• Contribute to programs and services through providing specialist advice and expert knowledge
• Provide a professional consultancy and support role to crisis response and critical incidents
• Review Duty of Care approaches and processes and support the development of risk assessment skills
what we are looking for
You will bring:
• passion, commitment and belief in children, young people and families
• university level qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling and at least 5 years’ experience in a similar practice supervision capacity
• professional knowledge and experience in the application of effective counselling and other human services models, processes, theories, supports and interventions
• experience in case management, leadership and the provision of professional practice supervision and professional development of practitioners
• understanding of Child Protection Legislation, Child Development and commitment to child, youth and family centred safe practices
• ability to plan and deliver training to accommodate adult learning styles, evaluate training effectiveness and application to direct human services practice
• high level communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and establish and maintain professional relationships with diverse stakeholders
• ability to participate in a 24 hour on call roster
