About the role

We’re partnering with a growing defence and aviation technology organisation expanding its Australian engineering capability in Brisbane.

This is not a pure support role and it’s not a purely architectural position. We’re looking for someone who enjoys getting hands-on with modern cloud platforms and taking ownership of reliability, automation and continuous improvement across secure enterprise environments.

You’ll work across cloud platforms, Kubernetes environments and infrastructure automation while partnering closely with engineering, operations and security teams.

What you'll be doing

• Build, support and improve cloud platform environments across Azure and AWS
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform and related tooling
• Support Kubernetes and container-based platforms
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Drive platform reliability, monitoring and observability initiatives
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and platform issues across production environments
• Work closely with engineering and security teams on platform improvements and modernisation activities
• Contribute to technical documentation, operational processes and platform best practice

What we're looking for

• Strong experience across cloud platform engineering in Azure and/or AWS environments
• Hands-on Kubernetes/container platform experience
• Strong Infrastructure as Code capability using Terraform or similar tooling
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Strong troubleshooting and operational ownership mindset
• Exposure to monitoring and observability platforms
• Background within secure, enterprise or regulated environments highly regarded
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across technical teams

Nice to have

• Security clearance (Baseline/NV1/NV2)
• Experience within defence, aviation or government environments
• Experience across DevSecOps or platform security practices
