We are seeking a skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our technology team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable infrastructure, improving deployment pipelines, and ensuring system reliability, performance, and security.

This role is suited to someone with strong hands-on experience across Kubernetes, multi-cluster environments, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automation, monitoring, and production support.

You will work closely with developers, QA, and voice engineers to ensure our systems are stable, secure, scalable, and easy to deploy.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud and infrastructure environments.

• Manage, operate, and improve Kubernetes-based infrastructure and deployment platforms.

• Manage multi-cluster Kubernetes environments.

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.

• Manage containerisation and orchestration platforms, including Docker and Kubernetes.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar.

• Support GitOps and Kubernetes continuous delivery practices using tools such as Flux CD, Argo CD, or similar.

• Monitor system performance, availability, reliability, and security using observability tools.

• Collaborate with development teams to improve application performance, reliability, and deployment practices.

• Support modern application architectures, including microservices and event-driven systems.

• Ensure compliance with security standards and DevOps / DevSecOps best practices.

• Automate routine operational tasks, deployments, and system maintenance.

• Help define security, backup, disaster recovery, and deployment standards.

• Identify opportunities to reduce manual work and improve operational efficiency.

• Maintain documentation for infrastructure, processes, systems, and deployment practices.

Experience/Knowledge:

• Strong experience in a senior DevOps, platform engineering, cloud engineering, or infrastructure engineering role.

• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments.

• Experience managing multi-cluster Kubernetes environments.

• Experience with Docker and container-based deployments.

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• AWS certification is highly regarded.

• Strong knowledge of Linux systems administration.

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, Azure DevOps, or similar.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar.

• Strong scripting skills using Bash, Python, PowerShell, or similar.

• Good understanding of networking, DNS, firewalls, load balancers, SSL certificates, VPNs, and Kubernetes networking concepts.

• Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, Mimir, VictoriaMetrics, ELK, Datadog, or similar.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot production issues.

• Good understanding of security best practices, access control, secrets management, system hardening, and DevSecOps principles.

• Experience working with microservices-based applications.

• Understanding of event-driven architecture or distributed systems.

• Ability to document infrastructure, processes, and operational procedures clearly.

Desirable:

• Experience with Cluster API, CAPA, Cilium, or similar Kubernetes platform technologies.

• Experience with GitOps or Kubernetes continuous delivery tools such as Flux CD, Argo CD, or similar.

• Experience with Pulumi and/or Terraform.

• Experience with Ansible for automation and legacy tooling.

• Go programming experience would be highly regarded.

• Experience operating globally distributed infrastructure.

• Experience with distributed databases, message bus platforms, or highly available data platforms.

• Experience with VoIP or telecom platforms.

• Experience working with SaaS, CRM, call centre, or high-availability platforms.

• Experience managing multi-environment deployments, including development, staging, UAT, and production.

• Experience with database backups, replication, and disaster recovery planning.

• Knowledge of serverless technologies.

• Experience with Agile/Scrum environments.

• Certification in AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Azure DevOps, or related technologies.

• Experience mentoring junior engineers or improving engineering processes.
