About the role
Rapid company growth has provided us with an opportunity to recruit a new Energy Broker. This phone-based sales position will be office-based in Melbourne.
Focused on winning new commercial & industrial customers, you’ll spend your day on the phone with decision makers in commercial industries (manufacturing, retail, agriculture, transport and logistics), uncovering their needs and closing deals that deliver real savings.
You’ll be part of a Melbourne office-based sales team, working with clear activity and revenue targets with full training, structured coaching, and a transparent commission structure.
As an integral part of the team your duties will include:
Making 40-50 new business calls per day
Prospecting your own commercial and industrial energy leads
Building and managing relationships with key decision-makers in mid-to-large businesses
Negotiating the best energy deal available to best match your customers' needs
Sharing insights with other team members and participating in Choice Energy events.

Skills and experience – must-haves:
12 months B2B sales experience, ideally selling to commercial & industrial customers or SME businesses.
A proven new business / outbound sales track record – you've demonstrated success hitting or exceeding KPIs and revenue targets through your own prospecting.
Comfortable in an office-based role with high daily activity and call volumes.
Skills and experience – nice to have:
Experience selling into manufacturing, retail, logistics, transport, agriculture, factories, or similar commercial environments.
Background in inside sales, telesales or call-centre style B2B sales.
