Based in Milton, you’ll lead governance, risk and compliance at yourtown—working with leaders, supporting accreditation, and providing trusted advice to executives and the Board, while building a strong risk and compliance culture.

your opportunity

Based at Milton, the Governance, Risk & Compliance Specialist supports yourtown to develop and maintain frameworks and management systems that are fit-for-purpose, meet internal and external requirements and are aligned with industry best practice. The role also supports yourtown to proactively manage risks through assisting with the administration and implementation of the risk and compliance frameworks.

your role will include:

·  Leading and championing governance, risk, and compliance frameworks, including policies, procedures, conflicts of interest and whistleblower processes

·  Partnering with leaders across the organisation to identify, assess and manage risk, embedding fit-for-purpose controls and maintaining registers

·  Driving accreditation outcomes by reviewing accreditation strategies, coordinating audits and ensuring ongoing alignment with best practice

·  Providing high-quality advice, reporting and insights to Executive Leadership, the Board and Committees on governance, risk and compliance matters

·  Building organisational capability through training, guidance and proactive promotion of a positive risk and compliance culture

what we are looking for

You are an experienced governance, risk and compliance professional who brings strong policy expertise, sound judgement, and a collaborative approach. You are comfortable influencing at executive and board level, thrive in complex environments, and balance technical rigour with practical, people-centred solutions.

You will bring:

·  Passion, commitment and belief in young people

·  Tertiary qualifications with significant experience in governance, risk, compliance or policy roles

·  Strong written communication skills, with demonstrated experience developing clear, accurate policies and procedures

·  Well-developed stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, advise and work collaboratively across diverse teams

·  A proactive mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities, work autonomously and drive continuous improvement
