ABOUT US
We are a boutique Williamstown-based interior design studio specialising in high-end residential interiors, with a strong focus on bespoke detailing, refined material palettes and considered project delivery.
As the studio continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer to support the delivery of high-end residential projects, contribute to creative design development and assist with internal project coordination across the team.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a senior-level position suited to a highly organised interior designer with strong technical documentation, project coordination, procurement and client-facing experience.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Studio Director, consultants, suppliers, builders and clients, while also supporting workflow coordination, documentation review and project reporting across the design team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead high-end residential interior design projects from concept through to documentation and delivery
• Prepare detailed documentation packages in Revit and AutoCAD, including joinery detailing, custom furniture documentation and lighting/electrical layouts
• Coordinate consultants, suppliers, trades and builders throughout project delivery
• Manage FF&E schedules, specifications, procurement processes and supplier coordination
• Source and curate finishes, materials, furniture and fixtures from local and international suppliers
• Assist with project budgeting, procurement tracking and scheduling
• Contribute to creative design development, including material palettes, finishes selections and client presentations
• Coordinate workflow and project allocation across the design team
• Monitor team involvement across active projects and report project progress to the Studio Director
• Review drawings, documentation packages and project deliverables prior to issue
• Maintain project timelines, documentation standards and internal coordination processes
• Mentor and collaborate with junior team members
• Attend client meetings, supplier presentations and site visits as required
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 7 years experience in interior design, preferably within high-end residential projects
• Strong Revit and AutoCAD documentation experience essential
• Proven experience delivering projects from concept through to construction documentation
• Strong understanding of joinery detailing, materials, finishes and FF&E specification
• Experience coordinating consultants, builders, suppliers and trades
• Strong project coordination, team coordination and documentation review skills
• Excellent communication, presentation and client-facing skills
• Highly organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Additional experience in hospitality and/or retail design highly regarded
• Experience working with European suppliers, finishes, furniture or textile brands highly regarded
• Additional European language skills, such as Spanish or Italian, advantageous due to supplier coordination requirements
• Knowledge of Australian construction documentation standards preferred
