Play a key role in delivering Queensland’s transport investment programs through effective program management, coordination and stakeholder engagement. In this role, you will monitor and review programs, analyse project data, and support financial and risk management activities. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high quality reporting, support federally funded programs, and contribute to key publications such as QTRIP. You’ll also manage correspondence, coordinate project communications, and collaborate within a high performing team to deliver clear, timely and accurate outcomes.

As the Senior Program Officer, you will assist in the review, development and administration of assigned works within QTRIP. You will provide effective and efficient support to the development and monitoring of programs managed by the State Network Program such as Transport System Planning Program and federally funded programs of works.

Some Of Your Responsibilities Will Include

Manage and review programs, including analysis of project data, scope variations, and financial and risk management. Engage and consult with stakeholders on program management and reporting to ensure data quality and identify efficiencies. Contribute to the annual QTRIP publication for investment programs and projects managed by the State Network Programs unit. Support coordination and reporting for federally funded programs and projects in line with Australian and Queensland Government requirements. Manage the program inbox, drafting and reviewing stakeholder responses in accordance with governance requirements. Coordinate website updates and communications materials for programs and projects. Contribute positively to a collaborative team environment through effective communication and constructive support.

Requirements Of The Role

Experience collaborating and engaging with a range of stakeholders to support program or project outcomes. Knowledge and experience in using program and project management reporting systems, the Microsoft Office suite, and/or desktop publishing tools. Demonstrated ability to take personal responsibility for delivering agreed outcomes, uphold high standards of professionalism and ethical behaviour, and show self-awareness and commitment to ongoing personal development. Ability to work effectively in an environment with competing demands by managing time, prioritising tasks, and maintaining performance during periods of high activity. Ability to apply program management principles and methodologies to manage projects and support the achievement of program outcomes.
