About the Project

This role supports major Defence infrastructure works within ACCIONA’s growing Defence sector portfolio. Projects involve the delivery of complex structures and supporting civil works, operating within a highly regulated environment governed by stringent quality, safety, and compliance standards.

The project operates on a FIFO model from Adelaide and forms part of a broader Defence program with strong continuity of work and future opportunities.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer with a strong background in structures delivery, ideally complemented by a multidisciplinary civil capability. This is a hands‑on role requiring technical leadership, coordination of construction activities, and close collaboration with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.

You will be working in a dynamic, high‑compliance environment where quality, planning, and execution are critical. This role also offers an excellent opportunity to build long‑term experience within the Defence sector while working on challenging, technically complex projects.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead the delivery of structural works, ensuring compliance with design, quality, safety, and Defence standards
• Support and manage construction activities, including subcontractor coordination and site supervision
• Integrate civil works where required, contributing to multidisciplinary project delivery
• Manage project planning, scheduling, and sequencing to meet program milestones
• Ensure robust quality assurance processes are implemented and maintained
• Contribute to risk management, cost control, and reporting activities
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders in a highly regulated Defence environment

Required Skills and Competencies

• Demonstrated experience delivering significant structural works on large infrastructure projects
• Civil works experience within multidisciplinary project environments (advantageous)
• Strong construction, planning, and stakeholder coordination capability
• Experience working to stringent quality and compliance frameworks
• Ability to work FIFO on a 2:1 roster from Adelaide
• Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain Baseline Security Clearance
