The Role

Based from our Collingwood studio and warehouse operations, this is a senior role spanning creative styling, project delivery, client engagement, operational management and business development within Design + Diplomacy — one of Melbourne’s leading boutique property styling and interior design businesses.

Projects are delivered to an exceptional standard while actively contributing to sales growth, forward bookings, repeat business and strong commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Direction & Styling

• Lead styling direction across premium residential property campaigns

• Confidently create and execute the recognisable D+D styling aesthetic across a range of residential property campaigns

• Style homes, apartments and select development projects to an exceptional standard

• Curate furniture, art, accessories, soft furnishings and finishing layers aligned with the D+D aesthetic

• Maintain impeccable presentation standards across all projects

• Ensure styling outcomes are commercially intelligent and aligned with campaign objectives, buyer expectations and local market positioning

Business Development & Commercial Performance

• Actively generate new styling opportunities

• Build and strengthen relationships with real estate agents, vendors, developers and repeat clients

• Convert inbound enquiries into confirmed projects

• Support targeted outbound business development activity

• Grow forward bookings and pipeline consistency

• Identify opportunities to introduce clients to broader D+D design services where appropriate

• Take ownership of agreed commercial performance targets including revenue growth, enquiry conversion and repeat business generation

• Contribute strategically to the continued growth of the styling division

Operations & Project Delivery

• Manage styling projects from booking through installation, execution and collection

• Take active ownership of stock control, warehouse coordination, logistics scheduling and inventory accuracy

• Learn, confidently use and help maintain D+D’s custom-designed inventory and stock management platform

• Ensure accurate stock tracking, allocation, returns, condition monitoring and strong inventory discipline across all styling projects

• Prepare styling briefs, install plans and project requirements

• Problem solve quickly and calmly in a fast-moving environment

• Support strong communication between logistics, styling and management teams

• Participate in occasional operational driving, supplier collections and site-based logistics as required

Leadership

• Lead by example on-site and within the business

• Support and mentor junior stylists and assistants

• Help drive a high-performance, accountable team culture

• Maintain strong operational discipline and workplace standards

• Represent the D+D brand professionally at all times
