Working across enterprise IT, operational technology (OT) and operational systems, the program is focused on building resilient, secure and highly available capability that will support critical infrastructure operations into the future.

Due to continued program growth, they are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to support architecture definition, vendor engagement and solution design activities across a large and complex transformation environment.

This is a senior architecture role operating across business, operational and technical stakeholders.

You will define the end-to-end solution architecture for a complex backstop capability, ensuring alignment between business requirements, integration approaches, operational environments and vendor solutions.

The role will see you working closely with procurement, program delivery and technical teams to shape architecture direction, establish standards and support technical evaluation activities.

As a Solution Architect, you will:

• Define end-to-end solution architectures aligned to business requirements
• Establish architecture principles, standards and non-functional requirements
• Define integration approaches across IT, OT and operational environments
• Develop architecture artefacts aligned with governance and Design Authority standards
• Support procurement activities including vendor briefings and technical evaluations
• Assess vendor solutions against business and technical requirements
• Support business case refinement and architecture decision-making
• Contribute to operational support model and ownership boundaries
• Work closely with business, program and technical stakeholders
• Provide authoritative technical guidance across the program lifecycle

You’ll bring:

• Strong experience as a Solution Architect within complex enterprise environments
• Experience across critical infrastructure, operational technology or real-time environments
• Proven integration capability across enterprise and operational systems
• Strong understanding of cyber security, resilience and high-availability principles
• Experience developing architecture artefacts and governance documentation
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience supporting procurement and vendor evaluation activities
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capability
• Ability to work autonomously within fast-moving delivery environments

Highly desirable skills and experience include:

• Experience within energy, utilities or operational infrastructure environments
• Exposure to large-scale transformation or modernisation programs
• Experience working within government or highly regulated environments
