- Have excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with staff and customers
- A relevant Diploma or at least 3 years' experience in retail management
- Attending meetings with area managers and relevant authorities when required
- Setting pricing and promotional strategies to stay competitive while delivering value to customers.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Planning, directing, and coordinating the overall operations of the store
- Maintaining high standards of customer service
- Overall responsibility for the commercial performance, profitability, and operational management of the store, including budgeting, cost control, and achievement of financial targets
- Creating and managing staff rosters within budget guidelines
- Managing stock levels, placing orders, and minimizing waste
- Checking deliveries for quality and resolving any issues with suppliers
- Preparing weekly sales reports and working with management to improve performance
- Reconciling supplier invoices and coordinating with the accounts team
- Recruiting, training, and monitoring staff performance
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and food safety regulations
