Corumbene is an established commercial thoroughbred stud which has an enviable reputation with the racing and breeding industry. Having bred champions like Southern Legend, Sebring, Overreach and Menari, this role is for someone who wants to be a part of a successful operation. The stud, located in Scone, offers premium breeding facilities and an environment offering wellbeing and safety for valuable bloodstock.

THE ROLE

We have a permanent position available for an experienced stud groom at our Scone Property, assisting with Stallion handling, broodmares and educating yearlings for major sales.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Handling broodmares foals and yearlings

• Administering treatments 

• Feeding up and mucking out 

• Making feeds/ feed Run 

• Holding for the farrier 

• Stallion handling 

• General farm duties 

REQUIREMENTS                                                                                     

• Stallion Handling experience is essential.

• Experience in the thoroughbred industry.

• MR Truck licence would be beneficial.

Corumbene stud is located minutes from the township of Scone, NSW with primary and secondary schools.
