We are a Uniting Church school catering for over 1,000 day and boarding students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12. Our campus is located in the leafy suburb of Peppermint Grove, situated between the ocean and the river.

Summary:

PLC Perth is seeking a passionate and innovative permanent part-time French Language Teacher circa 0.8FTE to join our vibrant community in Peppermint Grove, ideally commencing in term 3 2026. You will foster a love for the French language among our students, contributing to their school experience and cultural understanding. As a leading school for girls, we pride ourselves on our impressive academic record and commitment to holistic education, making this an exciting opportunity for dedicated educators.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an engaging French language curriculum aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for learning from years 7 to 12.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their language development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience and integrate French language learning across subjects.
  • Participate beyond the classroom in school events and co-curricular activities to promote a strong connection with students and support their learning in a wide variety of areas.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, French, or a related field.
  • Current teaching registration in Western Australia.
  • Experience teaching secondary years French including years 11 and 12 is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of the Australian Curriculum and effective teaching methodologies.
  • An understanding of the International Baccleaurate Programme is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students and connect well with colleagues.
