Key Responsibilities
• Program, optimise, and operate Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) systems in accordance with IPC standards
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of AOI machinery and associated production equipment
• Analyse failed devices, FPY, and quality data to support continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain PCB washing processes and scheduled preventative maintenance activities
• Conduct inspections of PCB washing machines and ensure machine performance and cleanliness standards are met
• Verify the accuracy of changed parts and production updates
• Perform visual inspections and machine inspections to identify solder defects and quality issues
• Follow engineering instructions and maintain accurate project documentation and records
• Test electronic equipment and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
• Conduct x-ray inspection of BGA components and assemblies
• Analyse the performance of assemblies, electronic components, circuits, and systems
• Ensure all work is completed in line with Australian standards and internal quality requirements
• Assist with project evaluation, reporting, and cost estimation activities
• Minimum 1 year (2-4 years’ desired) relevant experience in a technical, manufacturing, or quality-focused role
• Previous exposure to leadership, supervision, or staff training is highly regarded
• Technical qualification, diploma, or degree in electronics, engineering, or a related field is advantageous
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
• Experience working with JUKI machines and SMT production lines preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
