The successful candidate will work on telecommunications infrastructure projects and will be responsible for installing, testing and maintaining telecommunications equipment and systems in the field.

Task & responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain telecommunications equipment including fibre optic systems, transmission equipment and network hardware

• Conduct field testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of telecommunications networks

• Interpret engineering drawings, network diagrams and technical documentation

• Diagnose and resolve faults within telecommunications infrastructure and associated systems

• Perform preventative maintenance and upgrades to ensure optimal network performance

• Work closely with engineering teams and project managers to deliver projects within deadlines

• Prepare technical reports, maintenance logs and service documentation

• Ensure all field activities comply with safety regulations and company procedures

Qualification & experience

• At least 12 months of relevant work experience in telecommunications engineering, network infrastructure or a related field

• Experience working with telecommunications equipment, fibre optic networks or transmission systems

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in field environments

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and network schematics

• Good communication and problem solving abilities

• Ability to work independently and manage field assignments

• Relevant qualification in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a closely related field
