About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Travel Agency Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our growing travel agency. As a Travel Agency Manager, you will be responsible for managing staff, developing business strategies, driving sales performance, and ensuring outstanding customer service standards in line with industry best practices and ANZSCO role requirements.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Planning, organising, directing and coordinating the operations of the travel agency
- Developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies to achieve revenue targets
- Managing budgets, financial records, and monitoring profitability
- Leading, supervising, recruiting and training travel consultants and support staff
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with airlines, tour operators, hotels, and other travel suppliers
- Advising clients on travel options, itineraries, travel insurance, visa requirements, and special promotions
- Ensuring compliance with relevant travel industry regulations and company policies
- Handling complex customer enquiries, complaints, and service escalations
- Monitoring market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities
- Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality standards
Qualification & experience
Skills & Experience Required
Essential:
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a similar travel management or senior travel consultant role
- Proven experience in sales performance management and team leadership
- Strong knowledge of travel booking systems (e.g., GDS systems such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo)
- Sound understanding of travel industry regulations and supplier networks
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
- Strong financial and business acumen
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Tourism, Hospitality Management, or a related field
- Experience managing budgets and achieving sales KPIs
- Ability to develop and implement marketing strategies
