Tasks 

• Drive and position the truck safely to collect commercial commingled recycling waste.
• Pick up and empty rubbish bins using vehicle lifting equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures when collecting and handling waste.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is safe and operational.
• Ensure bins are emptied efficiently and placed back safely after collection.
• Monitor loads to ensure the truck is within legal weight limits.
• Complete route documentation and report any damaged bins, contamination, or collection issues.

Requirements 

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a truck driver, preferably in waste collection or a similar role.
• Valid truck driving licence appropriate for the vehicle class.
• Good understanding of road safety and waste collection procedures.
• Ability to safely operate truck lifting mechanisms for bin collection.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow collection schedules and documentation.
• Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently.
