What You’ll Do

As a Disability & Aged Care Support Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering older Australians and individuals living with disabilities to live independently and with dignity in the comfort of their homes and communities.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Personal care – Assist clients with daily living activities, hygiene, and personal care

  • Meal preparation – Prepare nutritious meals suited to clients’ dietary requirements and care needs

  • Medication management – Support clients in managing their medication schedules and adherence

  • Mobility assistance – Assist clients with mobility challenges while ensuring their safety and comfort.

  • Social engagement – Provide companionship and engage in meaningful conversations with clients to promote emotional and mental well-being

  • Transport support – Accompany clients to medical appointments, social outings, and essential errands with your car

  • Visit summary – Keep accurate visit notes and progress reports, ensuring care plans are accurately followed and adapted to the clients’ evolving care needs

  • Ongoing support – Provide consistent, personalised care that promotes independence, well-being, and quality of life for clients

About You

We are seeking Support Workers in Melbourne who are committed to improving the lives of our seniors and families.

Mandatory requirements

  • Qualifications – Australian Certificate III or IV in Aged, Disability Care, Individual Support or similar, or Nursing Qualifications

  • Certifications – Valid CPR and First Aid Certificates (HLTAID009/0011)

Preferred requirements

  • Location – Willing to provide home-based care in the Western Metropolitan, Northern Metropolitan, Southern Metropolitan, South-Eastern Metropolitan and Eastern Metropolitan areas

  • Gender – Female Support Workers preferred for certain care visits involving hygiene and personal care for female seniors

  • Transport – Full Victorian driver’s license with a reliable car to travel to client locations
