Cowes Veterinary Surgery is seeking a qualified Certificate IV Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly, supportive small animal practice on the stunning Phillip Island.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated nurse who enjoys hands-on clinical work, values teamwork, and wants to be part of a close-knit practice that genuinely cares about its people, patients, and clients while enjoying a varied position with client facing duties. We will consider part-time or full-time hours.

About the Role
As a Certificate IV Veterinary Nurse, you will be involved in all aspects of day-to-day practice, including:
Clinical & Nursing Duties
Assisting veterinarians with consultations, diagnostics, and procedures
Surgical nursing, anaesthesia monitoring, and patient care
Hospital care, treatments, and nursing support
Maintaining high standards of hygiene, organisation, and animal welfare
Reception & Client Care Duties
Welcoming clients and managing front-of-house interactions
Booking appointments and managing the practice schedule
Handling phone and email enquiries with professionalism and empathy
Processing payments and maintaining accurate client records
Supporting smooth communication between vets, nurses, and reception
· Contributing positively to team workflow and daily planning
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
Holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
Is confident working across both nursing and reception duties
Has strong small animal nursing skills and a willingness to learn
Communicates clearly and works well as part of a team
Remains calm, organised, and professional in a busy clinical environment
Takes pride in patient care and client service
Previous experience in general practice is preferred, but a positive attitude and good work ethic are essential.
