CERTEX Lifting and our affiliated Australian companies supply lifting equipment, steel wire rope, height safety, and other lifting solutions, alongside connected services including testing, maintenance, assembly, and hire of lifting products for industrial applications in a wide range of industries. With over 18 Australian sites across 5 strong brands, we are one of Australia's largest providers of lifting equipment solutions, with a far-sighted focus on sustainable growth.

The role

Working as part of a small team in our Hunter Valley branch (Rutherford), your role will include all activities related to stock management and movement, including coordinating ingoing and outgoing stock.

Additionally, if required we will provide training for you to develop technical skills, so you can assemble products required by clients, such as slings and other chain assemblies, and ensure quality and safety, by testing lifting and rigging gear.

Working as part of a supportive branch environment, where everyone is willing to pitch in to make sure customer needs are met, you will be the person primarily responsible for day-to-day warehouse activities; ensuring operations run smoothly and in accordance with company standards and the directions of the Branch Manager.

The work is typically Monday to Friday, but overtime and weekend work may also be available from time to time, paid at penalty rates.

A snapshot of the role includes:

  • Day-to-day activities of stock management (goods receiving, unloading, picking & packing, despatching, stock control, and quality assurance).

  • Liaising with our inventory, customer service, and service departments, along with customers and transport providers.

  • Ensuring compliance of warehouse documentation.

  • Maintaining the warehouse in a clean and organised state.

  • Meeting customer service and delivery standards.

  • Regular stocktake and inventory activities.

  • General warehouse duties including maintaining a clean workplace.

  • Ensuring clear records are maintained in both ERP and testing systems.

  • Once appropriately trained, inspection, manufacture, repair and testing of new and in-service lifting, rigging and height safety equipment.

What we are looking for - Must Haves

  • Experience in a warehouse environment.

  • Good communication skills – including customer service experience, and the ability to communicate effectively in a team environment.

  • Evidence of good numeracy and literacy skills, and high attention to detail.

  • A valid, unrestricted driver’s licence.

  • A High-Risk Work Licence – LF (Forklift Ticket), and proven experience using forklifts in a warehouse environment.

  • The ability to work in a physical environment, including regular manual handling and lifting (safe) loads in accordance with WHS procedures.

  • You are willing to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.

  • You have the legal right to work in Australia on a full time, permanent basis.

What we are looking for – Nice to Have

  • Experience in an industry related to rigging, lifting, or height safety, or exposure to environments that require rigging, lifting, or height safety equipment.

  • High Risk Work Licences in Rigging and dogging or experience working with cranes.

  • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

  • Experience using sales and logistics software such as an ERP (Ideally Microsoft Dynamics Business Central).

  • A current first aid certificate.

Who we are looking for

  • You are reliable and accountable for your responsibilities.

  • You have good time management skills and can meet deadlines without compromising safety.

  • You can follow work procedures and directions, and work with limited supervision.

  • You have a positive attitude and can work effectively in a cross-functional team.
