We are currently seeking qualified and experienced welders to join our team in delivering high quality projects related to welding and fabrication.

Task & responsibilities

  • Reviewing and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine fabrication and welding requirements.
  • Selecting appropriate metal materials such as Structural steel, aluminium, or stainless steel, and cleaning and preparing them for fabrication work.
  • Cutting marked metal sections and profiles using hand tools, flame-cutting equipment, metal saws, or other suitable cutting machinery.
  • Forming, bending, and shaping metal components, pipes, or sheets using hand tools or machinery, including heating and hammering techniques where necessary to achieve accurate shape and fit.
  • Positioning and aligning components prior to joining by using hand tools and precision measuring instruments to ensure correct fit-up.
  • Joining metal parts through suitable welding methods (such as MIG, ARC or TIG, in accordance with project requirements), as well as through bolting or riveting when required.
  • Examining completed welds to assess bead consistency, penetration, accuracy, and compliance with relevant specifications and quality standards.
  • Carrying out finishing tasks such as grinding, filing, smoothing, cleaning welds, removing slag or burrs, and completing surface preparation to achieve a high-quality finish.
  • Collaborating with fabrication, machining, and quality assurance teams to ensure all components meet customer expectations, safety requirements, and quality standards.
  • Adhering to safe work practices by correctly using tools and equipment, following manual handling procedures, and maintaining a clean, organised, and safe workplace in accordance with occupational health and safety guidelines

Qualification & experience

  • Relevant trade qualification (min.  Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication/Welding or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Welder.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints and welding specifications
