Welder (Full Time)

Direx Metal Pressing Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Welder to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful applicant will be responsible for MIG welding, fabrication, grinding, machine operation, and repair and maintenance welding works within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding, grinding, and metal fabrication works 

• Cut, shape, join, and finish metal materials using welding equipment and hand tools 

• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications 

• Operate metal pressing and production machinery 

• Carry out repair and maintenance welding on industrial machinery and equipment 

• Inspect welded and fabricated products to ensure quality and accuracy 

• Assist with fitting and mechanical repair works when required 

• Maintain workplace safety standards and follow company procedures 

• Ensure workshop tools and equipment are maintained in good working order 

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Welding, Metal Fabrication, Mechanical Engineering, or related trade field 

• Minimum 4-5 years of relevant work experience as a Welder 

• Experience in MIG welding, grinding, and fabrication works 

• Experience working with industrial machinery and manufacturing equipment 

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements 

• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team 

• Good communication and time management skills
