The Opportunity

Reporting to the WHSE Manager, you’ll play a critical role on a high‑profile $106M commercial build, ensuring safety is embedded in every stage of delivery.

This is a hands‑on, high‑impact position where you’ll:

  • Be present on site driving best practice

  • Influence teams and subcontractors

  • Take ownership of compliance and safety systems

  • Help shape the safety culture on a flagship project

Once established, you’ll be trusted to identify improvements, implement initiatives, and drive outcomes that matter.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive WHSE compliance through site audits, inspections, and risk assessments

  • Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings, and training sessions

  • Manage WHS documentation (contractor compliance, plant, registers, hazardous substances)

  • Investigate incidents and oversee corrective actions and reporting

  • Maintain emergency preparedness and site readiness

  • Report on WHS performance and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

  • At least 4–6 years’ WHS experience in the construction industry (commercial project exposure highly regarded)

  • Cert IV in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent)

  • Strong understanding of WHS legislation and best practice

  • ICAM Certified (preferred)

  • Confident communicator who can influence and engage site teams

  • Hands‑on, proactive, and genuinely passionate about safety
